First of all the service was great and the food was even greater. Very cool place. All that for a very affordable price.

Ice cream was only good thing there. The food was not real BBQ...

Chris's is the best food always hot and very tasty and ice cream always a great treat for my granddaughter and i after she does gymnastics every fri night in the summer. We will be looking forward to the spring. Hoping for a short winter.

I love this place. I drove past it several times on my way to visit my mom before stoping to give it a try and it was totally worth it. The food is very good and the place is very fun looking. I come back here every time I am in the area.

Chris is a fantastic guy. He really loves his business and loves his food. He respects his customers and loves to talk to them when he has time, which is rare because he is always working hard.The food is phenomenal. Chris's bbq sauce is a unique blend of flavors that complements everything.I'm a big fan of his horsey sauce as well.Ribs, Pulled Pork, Corn on the Cob... It's all so delicious....Great place to stop for a quick bite if your traveling down Meshoppen's way on Rt 6....

Excellent food the people that work there are very pleasant always smiling the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive definitely worth the trip no matter where you come from and it's right on route 6 beautiful scenery from wilkesboro to lake Erie plan on taking plenty of photos and enjoy.

I had originally gone there after a kayak trip, nearby. It was the perfect ending to an already incredible day. The food is very good and reasonably priced but the ice cream/custard was even better. There is something for everyone, even a menu for the little ones. There is plenty of seating in the back and it's very clean. The staff is kind and helpful. The only drawback I had was, they don't take credit/debit cards. It's a gem, a seasonal one, but a gem nonetheless.

Best BBQ I've ever been to! We drive nearly 2 hrs just to go here. The setting is very cool and the food is great! Everything they have is fantastic and the staff has been very friendly each time. The woman who served us was especially friendly to our 5 year old son when he ordered his ice cream. Cant wait to get back there this year!

Cute BBQ stop in the middle of no where with clean restrooms. The food is simple, but always reliably good. Their soft serve is custard which is my personal favorite--so creamy! The hard ice cream is Perry's, which is also very good. Give it a try if you are on route 6. You should not be disappointed. I just wish they'd bring back the cute mini golf course.

The BBQ was so-so and last time I went there they didn't accept credit cards. They weren't very friendly either.UNCLE GERRY'S TIPS: Go down the street to Meat Hooks... They have some excellent BBQ.

Wow! We didn't mean to be wandering around this area, but what a gem we found! They must have started those ribs YESTERDAY, they were SO GOOD, and falling off the bone.

You have to stop here! Yes, you just do.

Our family loves coming here on summer weekends. Ribs are delicious! The Duke sandwich is my favorite. They have multiple homemade barbecue sauces to choose from for your sandwich. They also serve hard and soft ice cream (hard ice cream flavors in my pictures). Cute play area for kids, very family friendly! In my opinion, their space adheres to safe Covid-19 practices. Patrons wore masks while ordering their food as well as the staff at the counter. Seating and dining is all outdoor and tables are spaced well apart.

The ribs were really delicious. Fries, hot dog and BBQ sandwiches are all really tasty. Great food for a great price.

Family favorite. Very good food, something for everyone. All outdoor seating, but plenty of shade and I have never had an issue with bugs bothering us.

Food sucked but the staff was great and friendly.

.Roast beef sandwich was just ok. The ribs were cooked too long. I like to eat the meat off the bone. the meat just fell off. No smoked meat. No brisket or beef ribs. It was a 45 minute ride to get there for me. I will return some other time to try it again. The girl who took my order was helpful. the place looked clean and neat.

Absolutely ZERO Covid precautions. No masks, no sanitizer, no reminders of social distancing. With people coming far and wide to visit this well-established restaurant, it would be responsible to take precautions. The only thing it has going for it is the outside seating.It also makes one uncomfortable to see not a single person on the staff who isn't a young pretty woman... and Chris.Well, I felt dirty, but otherwise the food was alright.

Food here is decent, but they don’t take cards, and don’t have an atm machine. Then they wouldn’t take a check because I’m not local enough,I ended up having to drive a mile to the atm. Super inconvenient. I would eat the food, but probably won’t because of how much of an inconvenience it was to buy here.

Excellent BBQ. So good that existential questions like a rack of ribs or pulled pork with two sides will plague you for days. Great fun decorations as well.

Inexpensive, clean and friendly staff. Food is excellent. Vast array of hand dipped ice cream. Chris is building a miniature golf course with a western theme. There are many tables to sit down and eat. No inside dining room.

We love this place. I look forward to it opening every year. Nothing fancy just good food at reasonable prices.

Honestly I don't know where all the people who left the positive reviews have ever eaten BBQ before. If you were expecting a true barbecue this is not the place. We questioned it at first when we didn't see any smoke from a pit then once we got our food we sadly realized it was a pressure cooked place with smoke flavoring. The skin on the chicken hardly seemed cooked not crisp like bbq chicken should be. The food just sat in my stomach the whole ride home very disappointing experience. I will give the atmosphere a 5; the country theme is very eye catching but dont expect a true bbq.

Total Joy. Destination location for an amazing experience, food...atmosphere and Clean is an understatement.We drive up from Mountain Top just to eat and enjoy the ride. Chris is great, very friendly...Always the first nice day after winter trip!
